The Town Hall of Puçol has prepared a special operation with progressive traffic closures, ambulances, and police reinforcement for the observation of the eclipse at the beach.
The Town Hall of Puçol has launched a special security and traffic regulation device due to the solar eclipse, which will have its official observation point at the municipality's beach. The operation aims to ensure that access to the town and coastal area can accommodate the expected high volume of vehicles.
Access points will be progressively closed according to the capacity of the parking areas. When these reach their limit, entry to the corresponding roads will be cut off, as reported by the council.
Among the affected roads are Camí la Mar, at the height of Travessera, as well as Assagador with Travessera. Access via Costera and the paelleros area will also remain closed, aiming to organise traffic and avoid saturation situations.
The Local Police will have a dynamic surveillance operation, with between two and three patrols assigned to the beach area, which can be redistributed according to the needs detected during the day.
The beach of Puçol, designated as the official observation point, will concentrate the bulk of the operation. There, security, emergency, and health assistance services will be reinforced.
In health matters, two ambulances will be available, and the Health Centre will remain open 24 hours to attend to possible emergencies. Additionally, the lifeguard service will be extended until 21:00.
The operation will also involve the participation of the Maritime Police from Sagunto and Puçol, a forest firefighter with a fire truck, and Civil Protection personnel. The day will take place under level 2 pre-emergency, which implies greater coordination and preventive measures due to the expected high concentration of people.
The Civil Guard will incorporate 34 additional agents into the operation, who will reinforce surveillance, security, and traffic regulation efforts throughout the day.
The Town Hall of Puçol stresses the importance of following the instructions of security forces at all times and avoiding unnecessary vehicle trips to areas that may reach their maximum capacity. The operation is designed to be flexible and dynamic, so closures will be decided based on the real traffic situation and parking capacity, prioritising the safety of residents and visitors.
Attendees are advised to arrive early, use alternative transport if possible, and respect signage to enjoy the eclipse safely.
