The City Council of Paiporta has launched a preventive operation in response to the orange alert for rain, with specific work on the drains and a meeting of CECOPAL.
The City Council of Paiporta has activated a preventive device due to the orange alert for stormy rains affecting the region. The maintenance service of Espai is working these days on the public road drains to ensure water drainage in anticipation of possible heavy rainfall.
These tasks are in addition to the periodic actions carried out by Global Omnium in the sewage network and the improvement and renewal works of the sanitation and drainage system in the municipality, as reported by the council.
On the morning of this Thursday, the CECOPAL, the local operational coordination centre, was held to set priorities for action and strengthen coordination among the involved services.
Local Police, Civil Guard, and Civil Protection are maintaining surveillance alongside Espai personnel to respond quickly to any incidents and prioritise areas that may need attention.
The City Council reminds that prevention is key during episodes of heavy rain and will keep the device active as long as the orange alert lasts, aiming to minimise risks and ensure the safety of residents.
