The City Council of Sagunto holds its ordinary Plenary on Thursday, 6 August, which includes the approval of the Low Emission Zones ordinance and the granting of two city medals. The session will be streamed live on YouTube and social media.
The ordinary Plenary of August will take place this Thursday, 6 August, starting at 9:00 AM in the council chamber of the town hall. The session can be followed live through the official YouTube channel of the City Council and its profiles on Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter), as reported by the municipal Communication Office.
One of the key points on the agenda is the approval of the regulatory ordinance for Low Emission Zones in the municipality, a file that will directly affect vehicle circulation in the urban area and will be debated in the resolution part.
In the recognition section, the Plenary will discuss the awarding of the city medal to the entity SOCOLTIE, COOP. V. and to the Unión Musical Porteña, two distinctions that acknowledge the trajectory of these organisations in the local sphere.
Also up for vote will be the modification of the local ordinance regarding the public non-tax asset provision for water and sewage services, which affects the integral water cycle in Sagunto, and the proposal to modify the delegation of competencies in educational infrastructure for IES Núm. 5-Altos Hornos, within the Edificant programme.
In the block of proposals from political groups, notable mentions include the declaration of municipal Agriculture Day, a support initiative for the Venezuelan people following the earthquakes of 24 June, and a proposal from the Popular Party to promote the Cantabrian-Mediterranean Corridor in the Sagunto-Teruel section. The construction of an outdoor municipal pool in the Port of Sagunto will also be debated, along with an inter-institutional plan for the maintenance and climate control of educational centres and the improvement of mobile phone coverage in the maritime strip of Port of Sagunto.
The session will also include the presentation of accounts of the Mayor's resolutions, information to the Plenary for the second quarter of 2026, and the financial control of the Invoice Register for the 2025 fiscal year, within the block of oversight of local government action.
