The Bétera Town Hall strengthens its workforce with five new hires thanks to the EMDONA, EMCORP, and AVALEM programmes, funded by Labora and the Generalitat.
The Bétera Town Hall has welcomed five new employees who are joining the municipal workforce through the EMDONA, EMCORP, and AVALEM employment programmes, promoted by Labora and funded by the Generalitat Valenciana. The total investment amounts to 74,383.88 euros.
The mayor, Elia Verdevío, accompanied by the Employment Councillor, Rafael García, and the Personnel and Human Resources Councillor, Marisa Silvestre, received the new workers and wished them a period of learning, professional growth, and service to the community.
Verdevío highlighted that "the incorporation of these five individuals represents an opportunity to continue generating employment and offering new opportunities to those who need it most." She added that these hires will provide work experience that will aid their professional retraining and subsequent insertion into the job market.
Programs and profile of the hired
Under the EMDONA programme, the council has hired two caretakers for ten months on a full-time basis, with a subsidy of 27,337.52 euros, aimed at facilitating the employment of unemployed women, preferably over 45 years old.
Through the EMCORP programme, two more caretakers are being hired, also for ten months on a full-time basis, with a grant of 27,046.36 euros, directed at unemployed youth under 30 years old.
The AVALEM programme allows for the hiring of an administrative assistant for nine months on a full-time basis, thanks to a subsidy of 20,000 euros, aimed at vulnerable groups with special difficulties accessing the job market.
The Employment Councillor, Rafael García, emphasised the importance of collaboration between administrations to develop effective active employment policies. "Thanks to Labora's funding, we have been able to incorporate five individuals, enhancing the employability of groups with greater difficulty entering the job market," he stated.
Strengthening municipal services
These new hires not only improve the employability of the benefited groups but also strengthen municipal services, optimising the functioning of various areas. The Personnel Councillor, Marisa Silvestre, stated that "the work of the new employees will result in a more agile, efficient, and close administration, benefiting the entire community."
With this investment of nearly 75,000 euros, the Bétera Town Hall demonstrates that institutional collaboration and responsible management generate a direct and sustainable benefit for the entire municipality. The new workers have already begun their duties in the municipal offices.
