Daniela Català, Mabel Arnal, Alejandra Campos and María Cáceres have been chosen to represent the August Festivals of 2027 in Bétera, announced on August 22 during Les Bolletes.
The municipality of Bétera now has the four women who will represent its August Festivals of 2027. Daniela Català Aparisi will be the First Single Worker; Mabel Arnal Giménez, the First Married Worker; Alejandra Campos García, the Second Single Worker, and María Cáceres Soriano, the Second Married Worker.
The announcement took place on August 22, during the celebration of Les Bolletes, one of the most anticipated events in the local festive calendar. After the mass of the Vuitava, the door of the parish of the Purísima Concepción was filled with neighbours waiting for the Workers to emerge from the Casa Abadía, carrying small scrolls with the names of the new representatives.
This year, the names were written by Mireia García Ricart, Nathalie Martínez Arnal, Daniela Ferriol Fuentes, and Gely Garañana Escribano, outgoing Workers of 2026. The mayor of Bétera, Elia Verdevío, highlighted the emotion of the day: "The anticipation that builds around this day is very emotional and special. The people of Bétera experience it as a very personal day where the names of the highest representatives of the festivals are revealed."
The councillor for Festivals, Manuel Pérez, described the date as "a bittersweet day because, on one hand, the Festivals come to an end and on the other, we welcome the Festivals of next year." He added: "Wishing the best of luck to the new Workers and the Majorals 2027."
The traditional procession made its way through the streets of Bétera to announce each appointment in person. At 12:25 PM, the doors of the Casa Abadía opened and Mireia García Ricart led the group to Daniela Català's house, who accepted the position and was showered with confetti by the Majorals of 2026. Nathalie Martínez Arnal did the same with Mabel Arnal, while Daniela Ferriol found Alejandra Campos amidst applause. Gely Garañana concluded the route at María Cáceres' house, who also received the Majorals 2027 shirt.
The four Workers posed together, surrounded by confetti and under the watchful gaze of the neighbours, who chanted their names alongside the Majorals. The day continued in the evening with the Presentation of the highest representatives of the August Festivals 2027 in the Alameda starting at 11:00 PM, followed by a concert by Demarco Flamenco, organised by the Bétera Town Hall.
