Rubbish collection in the streets along the route of the Moros y Cristianos Entrada in Ontinyent will take place from 2:30 AM on Saturday, August 22.
The company awarded the waste collection service, Fovasa, has informed the Ontinyent City Council that it will adjust the schedule in the streets affected by the Entrada parade. Thus, collection in the streets of the route, including Almaig and Daniel Gil avenues, will begin from 02:30 AM on the night of Friday, August 21 to Saturday, August 22, once the event concludes.
The change aims to facilitate both the development of the procession and the subsequent cleaning tasks in these areas. There will be no modifications in the rest of the city, and the usual collection schedule will be maintained.
This night corresponds to the collection of the organic fraction, according to the established calendar, and this type of waste will not change. Residents living along the route should take the new schedule into account when disposing of their bags.
The measure mainly affects residents of Almaig and Daniel Gil avenues and the streets along which the Entrada runs, who will have to wait until the early hours to take out their rubbish. The rest of the city maintains its usual schedules.
The City Council recommends staying alert to the company's notices and the signage on public roads to avoid confusion during the night on Friday.
