The Social Welfare Department of the Oliva City Council, led by Teresa Tur, has launched a new edition of the training course for non-professional caregivers of people in a situation of dependency. The initiative aims to reinforce the knowledge of those who care for family members or dependent individuals in a domestic setting.
The course will last 25 hours and will be held in the mornings on the 15th, 22nd, and 29th of September and the 7th and 14th of October. The sessions will take place in the hall of the San Francisco Social Centre in Oliva, a usual venue for such training activities.
The training is aimed at individuals who are already acting as caregivers for dependents, as well as those who have applied for dependency assistance and are awaiting assessment. In this way, the course seeks to cater to both those who are already receiving support and those who are in the process of obtaining it.
Interested parties can obtain more information at the San Vicente and San Francisco social centres in Oliva. Upon completion of the training, participants will receive a certificate of course completion issued by the Conselleria of Social Services, a document that may be useful in the field of care and dependency.
The council highlights that this action is part of its commitment to training and supporting caregivers, with the aim of ensuring better care for people in a situation of dependency in the municipality.
