The Tourist Info of Oliva is now accepting registrations for the XII Pebrera Farcida Contest, which will take place on 12th September. Interested parties have until 9th September to register.
The Tourism Department of the Oliva Town Hall has opened the registration period to participate in the XII Pebrera Farcida Contest, an event that is part of the XVIII Mostra Gastronòmica Ciutat d'Oliva programme. The contest will be held on Saturday 12th September at Paseo Luis Vives, in front of the Municipal Market.
Those interested in competing must fill out the registration form and submit it at the Tourist Info Oliva, located at Paseo Luis Vives, s/n. The registration period will remain open until 9th September at 14:00 hours.
The complete rules of the contest and the registration form are available on the tourism website of the Oliva Town Hall, where the rest of the gastronomic event's programme can also be consulted.
For the contest, the local bakeries will prepare a total of 900 pebreres farcides that can be tasted by purchasing a ticket in advance for 1.50 euros each. Tickets are already on sale at the tourist office, from 9:00 to 11:00 hours, until 9th September, and can be redeemed at the bakeries Galano, Mel de Romer, and Blat i Sucre.
The Tourism Department, led by Salvador Llopis, invites residents and visitors to participate in this gastronomic event, which has become one of the most anticipated in the local calendar. Tickets are limited, so it is recommended to purchase them in advance.
