Bétera has kicked off its Festes d'Agost 2026 with the official presentation of the four Obreres and the 26 Mayorales, an event held at the L'Albereda venue that brought together hundreds of locals eager to meet the protagonists of the municipality's grand days.
Music was one of the main highlights of the evening, featuring the Colla Xé que Burrà, the band from the Centre Artístic Musical de Bétera, and the band from the Italian town of Pont-Saint-Martin, which this year celebrates the 25th anniversary of its twinning with Bétera.
The most anticipated moment arrived with the entrance of the Obreres. Mireia García i Ricart, the first Obrera Fadrina, made her appearance accompanied by the councillor for Festivities, Manuel Pérez; while Daniela Ferriol i Fuentes, the second Obrera Fadrina, entered alongside Rafael García, councillor for Employment.
Meanwhile, the first Obrera Casada, Nahalie Martínez i Arnal, was accompanied by Alberto Cretazz, the mayor of Pont-Saint-Martin, who promoted the twinning between the two towns in 2001. The second Obrera Casada, Gely Garañana i Escribano, entered hand in hand with Toni Grande, president of the firework association 'Vol Lliure' and Maintainer of the 2026 Festivities.
