The 100-metre water slide, which attracted hundreds of people in 2025, returns to Ontinyent on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August with two new inflatables and a play area.
The large water slide measuring 100 metres in length and 3.5 metres in width is back in Ontinyent this weekend. The event, which last year brought together hundreds of people on Calle Músico Úbeda, will take place on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August starting at 11:00 hours.
This edition features the addition of two new inflatable slides for younger children, as well as mattresses and a children's play area with 15 giant wooden games. The recreational offerings will be spread between the street and the upper courtyard of the Museum of Textiles.
The councillor for Fairs, Festivals and Traditions, Àngels Muñoz, explained that the decision to expand the proposal is due to the success of the previous edition:
After last year's success, we are extending the activity to two days and incorporating two new inflatable slides so that the little ones have more space and more options to cool off and have fun.
The activity is part of “La Gran”, the space organised by the Town Hall at the Museum of Textiles to complement the Moros y Cristianos Festival with proposals for the entire community. The slide will utilise the ramp that connects Plaza de la Concepción with the Clariano River.
Muñoz highlighted that the aim is to establish this space as a meeting point during the Setmana Gran:
From the Town Hall, we want families and children to also experience the festivities, offering activities so that everyone has their space within the festive programming.
The activity is free and will take place throughout the weekend from 11:00 hours, designed to provide a family leisure alternative during the hottest hours.
