The Museu del Tèxtil, Glorieta, and Parc Mestre Ferrero host a varied culinary proposal from this Monday during the Moros y Cristianos festivities, featuring signature tapas, rice dishes, and fast food.
Ontinyent enhances its festive appeal with a gastronomic offering spread across three emblematic spaces in the city. From this Monday, the Museu del Tèxtil hosts an area managed by the NAC group, while the Glorieta and Parc Mestre Ferrero will join throughout the week with options for all tastes.
The Councillor for Festivities, Àngels Muñoz, highlighted that this is a "diverse offering designed for all types of audiences and approaches, always betting on quality and predominantly using local products, in three very suitable spaces for enjoying the city and the festivities outdoors."
The NAC group, part of the Gastronomic Product Club MOS promoted by the City Council, has divided its proposal into two lines. On one hand, the "Barra Brava", with snacks and small formats for informal consumption, and on the other, live cooking preparations with dishes such as rice, fideuà, and grilled meats.
Among the tapas from the Barra Brava are artichoke coca with caramelised onion, fresh foie and mistela; brioche with oxtail and bacon mayonnaise; local tomato with mackerel, rosemary cheese, and boletus gel; matured beef croquette; grilled scallop; smoked red prawn; flame-grilled aubergine with sobrasada; and seafood salad with tuna belly. For groups, rice and fideuà are offered, both "del senyoret" and with confit duck, in addition to a grilled ribeye.
The head of NAC, Héctor Francés, explained that this year's offering has been expanded compared to the previous edition, aiming to provide a differentiated culinary experience that combines tradition and innovation.
The Parc Mestre Ferrero will once again have a gastronomic space on Friday, August 21, coinciding with the Entrance of Moors and Christians. It will open from six in the evening until three in the morning and will have a giant screen to follow the event live, with fast food options such as sandwiches and hamburgers.
At the Glorieta, the venue for numerous musical performances during the festivities, a varied selection of tapas will be available from Wednesday afternoon until Sunday night. This proposal is part of "La Gran", the cultural and festive program designed by the Department of Fira, Festes i Tradicions to enhance the city's attractions during the festivities.
