The Generalitat's technical team visits CEIP Rosa Serrano in Paiporta to execute the ventilation of the sanitary structure, damaged by the DANA. The mayor and the councillor for Education accompany the technicians.
CEIP Rosa Serrano in Paiporta has received a visit from the technical team of the Generalitat Valenciana, who will carry out the works to resolve the issues in the sanitary structure of the centre. The intervention, driven by the Conselleria of Education, includes the installation of a mechanical ventilation system in this structure, affected by the DANA in October 2024.
The mayor of Paiporta, Vicent Ciscar, and the councillor for Education, Olga Sandrós, accompanied the school's management and the technicians during the visit. The aim was to convey the needs of the facilities and coordinate the planned works.
The Education Department has maintained constant monitoring of the centre's situation and has worked jointly with the Conselleria to promote the intervention. The Town Hall has provided technical documentation and identified needs over the past year to expedite the works.
Sandrós highlighted that “from the Education area, we have been working for many months to ensure that these actions progress as quickly as possible. Our goal is for the centre to have facilities in the best conditions and for the children to have a safe and quality educational space.” She also recalled that “from the very beginning, we have been in contact with the school's management and the educational community, sharing available information and monitoring each step taken.”
For his part, Ciscar stated that “although the execution of these works corresponds to the Generalitat Valenciana, the Town Hall is conducting permanent monitoring and working to ensure that the actions are carried out as swiftly as possible. Our responsibility is to stand by the centre, the families, and the entire educational community.” The mayor concluded that “the recovery and improvement of educational centres is a priority for this Town Hall, and we will continue to collaborate with all administrations to ensure that Paiporta has adequate educational facilities.”
The works, which do not yet have an announced start date, will focus on improving the sanitary structure, a key action to ensure the safety and health of the building. The educational community of CEIP Rosa Serrano hopes that the works will be carried out as soon as possible, given the time elapsed since the DANA.
