Burjassot concludes the ActualizaT training programme with thirteen students

The Burjassot City Council has concluded the Acción Inserta ActualizaT Burjassot II programme, in which thirteen students have been trained in Administration and Gardening.

The Díaz Pintado Socio-Educational Centre hosted the closing ceremony of the Acción Inserta ActualizaT Burjassot II Programme, a training and employment initiative that has allowed thirteen students to complete their qualifications in the fields of Administration and Gardening. The programme, promoted by the Burjassot City Council through CEMEF and in collaboration with LABORA-Valencian Employment and Training Service, took place between February 2025 and August 2026.

The training itinerary combined theory and practice, aiming to improve the employability of individuals with difficulties accessing the job market. In Gardening, students worked on content related to auxiliary activities in nurseries and gardens, as well as the installation and maintenance of green spaces. In Administration, the training covered everything from auxiliary operations in administrative services to customer relations.

An essential part of the programme was the practical aspect. Gardening students participated in the improvement of municipal green spaces such as Parque de La Granja, Parque 8 de marzo, and Parque Vicente Ferrer. Meanwhile, Administration students undertook internships in various departments of the council, assisting with tasks such as citizen attention and document management, and participated in initiatives like the Burjassot Commerce Voucher and the XV Trade and Gastronomy Fair.

The closing ceremony was attended by the mayor, Rafa García, and the councillors of the involved areas, Rosa Coca, Manuela Carrero, M.ª Ángeles Navarro, and Juan Gabriel Sánchez. During the meeting, the students' engagement and the benefits of the training were highlighted, with students expressing gratitude for the opportunity to enhance their qualifications. With this stage concluded, participants now face new job and training opportunities to apply what they have learned.
