The eighth stage of La Vuelta 2026, between Puçol and Xeraco, will pass through L'Eliana on Saturday, August 29, between 12:50 and 14:40. The Town Hall is seeking volunteers.
The municipality of L'Eliana will once again be the stage for the passage of La Vuelta cycling event next Saturday, August 29, due to the eighth stage, a flat day of 171 kilometres between Puçol and Xeraco. The peloton is expected to transit through the town between 12:50 and 14:40.
This will be the third time that the Spanish tour has traversed the streets of L'Eliana, following the two stages experienced in 2019. This year's edition, which will start for the first time in Monaco and conclude in Granada next to the Alhambra, will feature 21 stages and a total of 3,275 kilometres of route.
In light of this sporting event, the Town Hall of L'Eliana has made a call to the public to participate as volunteers in the support operation during the peloton's passage.
Interested individuals must register in advance through the form provided by the council and attend a mandatory information meeting on Friday, August 28 at 12:00 in the Plenary Hall. At this meeting, the functions of the volunteers, schedules, meeting points, and all necessary instructions to ensure the smooth running of the day will be explained.
The Town Hall encourages residents to join this initiative and experience from within the passage of one of the country's main sporting events. Citizen collaboration is key to ensuring that the day proceeds safely and normally.
