The mayor of Alaquàs, Toni Saura, has visited the works at the Dijous car park, which already show new trees and the reorganisation of spaces. The work, which began a month and a half ago, will conclude in the coming weeks with access improvements.
The mayor of Alaquàs, Toni Saura, has supervised this morning the state of the works at the Dijous car park, a space that the Town Hall is transforming into a green area. After a month and a half of work, residents can already see the first results: new trees in the central lane and a complete reorganisation of the spaces.
The intervention includes the planting of trees to expand shaded areas and reinforce the green character of the environment. In addition, new wooden fences have been installed to delineate the parking spaces and make better use of the available surface.
To reduce dust annoyance, a binder has been applied to the surface. According to the Town Hall, this measure will help minimise the suspension of particles, although within the technical possibilities of the terrain.
In the coming weeks, the work is expected to be completed with improvements to the main access and the installation of a height gauge control, which will limit entry to cars and small vehicles. This measure aims to prevent larger vehicles from accessing the site and damaging the new structure.
The Alaquàs Town Hall has thanked the citizens for their patience during these weeks of work and assures that the goal is to provide a car park that is "more organised, functional, and integrated with the environment." The works are part of a broader plan to improve public spaces in the municipality.
Meanwhile, drivers using the Dijous car park will have to coexist with the works for a few more weeks. The council recommends paying attention to the provisional signage and respecting the areas marked off for safety.
