The City Council of Paiporta allocates €194,681.92 to two lines of aid to recover businesses affected by DANA and support new entrepreneurs. Applications are now open for the first line.
The City Council of Paiporta has launched a new call for direct economic aid worth €194,681.92 to reactivate the local business fabric after the DANA on 29 October 2024 and to promote entrepreneurship in the municipality. The initiative is structured into two distinct lines: one for hospitality and sports service activities in the industrial estates, and another for new business initiatives.
The first line, endowed with €44,000, offers aid of up to €4,000 to companies and self-employed individuals in the Pascualeta, Estació, and Mina industrial estates who were operating on 29 October 2024 and suffered damage, interruption of activity, or economic losses directly resulting from DANA. The aid is divided into €1,500 for the damages suffered and €2,500 linked to the reopening of the activity.
Eligible applicants include, among others, gyms and sports centres, management of sports facilities, sports clubs, restaurants, cafés, bars, taverns, hotels, and accommodations, provided they meet the requirements of the regulations. Applications for this line can now be submitted through the municipal website, and the deadline is 30 calendar days from the day after the publication of the extract in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Valencia (BOP).
The second line, with a budget of €150,681.92, offers €2,500 to individuals or legal entities that have launched new business initiatives in Paiporta during the reconstruction process following DANA. Among the requirements is having been unemployed before starting the activity and having registered with the Tax Obligations Census and Social Security between 30 October 2024 and the day before the application.
The activity must be based and maintained in Paiporta, in the residential urban area, and have a publicly accessible premises at street level with the corresponding enabling title, or have it in processing. The deadline for this line will remain open until 10 December 2026.
The mayor, Vicent Ciscar, highlighted that “this type of resource has already served on other occasions to help the business fabric, and to this day we continue to allocate money both to assist businesses that still bear the consequences of DANA and to support those who have decided to undertake and generate activity and employment in our municipality.”
For his part, the councillor for Economy, Employment, and Commerce, José Antonio Redondo, has encouraged “all entrepreneurs and businesses that can meet the requirements to consult the regulations and submit the application. It is an opportunity to consolidate activities, recover investments, and continue strengthening the economic fabric of Paiporta.”
Both applications will be made through the specific procedure enabled in the Electronic Headquarters of the City Council of Paiporta, with an electronic certificate or through the identification options of Cl@ve. The aid will be granted in strict order of registration and until the available credit is exhausted, so the City Council recommends consulting the regulations and preparing the documentation in advance.
