The Town Hall of Requena has distributed the Festival Book to homes, which this year takes on special significance as it coincides with the designation of the town as Spanish City of Wine 2026.
The Town Hall of Requena presented this Tuesday the Festival Book that will accompany the upcoming Harvest Fair and LXXVII Harvest Festival, an edition that acquires special meaning as it coincides with the year the town holds the title of Spanish City of Wine 2026.
The publication brings together the festive programme, collaborations, images, and content that reflect the tradition, history, and work of the people, entities, and groups that make possible the celebration of Requena's most representative festivals each year.
During the presentation, the Councillor for Festivals, José Luis Barrera, highlighted the effort made to create a book that once again becomes the best reflection of the Harvest Fair and Festival, and encouraged all citizens to participate and enjoy celebrations that this year will have special relevance due to the designation.
For his part, the Mayor of Requena, Mario Sánchez, emphasized that this edition represents an opportunity to project the best image of the municipality and its traditions, and invited residents and visitors to experience the festivities “with respect, joy, and coexistence.”
The Festival Book has already been distributed to homes in the municipality. Those who have not yet received it can collect a copy at the Town Hall of Requena.
With this publication, the council continues to work to bring the festive programme closer to all citizens and to highlight festivals that are part of Requena's identity and that, in this edition, will be celebrated under the designation of Spanish City of Wine 2026.
