The concert by Ismael Serrano in Ontinyent has exceeded all expectations in its first week of ticket sales. The singer-songwriter will perform next September 25 at the Teatre Echegaray, and 278 tickets have already been sold, which represents 75% of the available seating.
The Councillor for Culture, Àlex Borrell, has positively assessed the public's response:
The magnificent response from the public during this first week of sales confirms that Ismael Serrano is a very beloved and awaited artist in Ontinyent, and that there is great interest in enjoying a cultural proposal of this level.
Serrano returns to the city ten years after his last performance, as part of his tour “Guitar and Voice”, an acoustic and intimate format where the voice and guitar will share the spotlight. The repertoire will revisit some of his best-known songs and include new compositions.
Borrell highlighted that the acoustic format was what they were looking for for his return:
It will allow for a much more direct connection with the audience and will make the Teatre Echegaray the ideal stage to enjoy his songs and his ability to share reflections and feelings.
The performance is part of the cultural programming of the Ontinyent City Council for the new season. According to the councillor, they aim to combine prestigious artists with the activities of local entities, and the incorporation into the Platea program allows for hosting top-level shows.
Tickets for the concert, priced at €20 in advance, can still be purchased through the Caixa Ontinyent sales platform and in person at the Casa de Cultura-Palau dels Barons de Santa Bàrbara.
