Burjassot's Summer Terrace continues its outdoor cinema programme with two new offerings for the first half of August. The Auditorium of the Casa de Cultura will host the screenings, which will always start at 22:15.
On 5 and 6 August, the documentary Leonas, directed by Juan Manuel Cotelo, will be screened. The film showcases the work of a network of volunteers that, for over a decade, has been accompanying hospitalised children who are alone in Spain, aiming to highlight the fight against loneliness and bureaucracy under the motto that no child should be alone in a hospital.
From 7 to 9 August, The Last Monkey will be shown, a Spanish comedy featuring a seduction guru who becomes an internet sensation and accepts the challenge of winning over Mariela, a feminist comedian and his main rival on social media, in three days. The story promises laughter and reflection on relationships and the digital world.
Tickets are priced at a flat rate of 4 euros and can be purchased in advance through the Exhicine website or at the auditorium box office, which opens 45 minutes before each screening. Residents of Burjassot and visitors can enjoy these events in an outdoor setting, with the usual safety measures in place.
Summer cinema has become a regular event in the town during the summer months, offering a nearby and affordable cultural leisure alternative.
