The city will have 110 direct connections, 40 airlines, and 4.7 million seats, an 11% increase from last year. New routes to Rabat, Helsinki, and Rome, along with the Wizz Air base, mark the season.
Valencia's air travel offer for the summer 2026 season will reach 110 direct connections, operated by 40 airlines and distributed across 32 markets. Manises Airport will have 4,697,020 seats, an 11% increase compared to the previous summer, according to data presented by the Visit València Foundation.
Demand is keeping pace with supply. Searches for flights to the capital of Turia in July and August have increased by 19% compared to last summer, reaching 17 million queries, according to the Focus tourism intelligence system. Italy, Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom are the markets showing the most interest in the city.
This season introduces two new connections: Rabat and Helsinki. Additionally, there are new developments such as Finnair's route to Helsinki; new Wizz Air connections to London Luton, London Gatwick, Venice, Turin, and Iași (Romania); Volotea's new routes to Florence, Bordeaux, and Lille; ITA Airways' new route to Rome; Dan Air to Bacău; Israir to Tel Aviv; Ryanair to Rabat and Warsaw-Modlin; and Air Nostrum to Melilla.
Another milestone for connectivity is the opening of Wizz Air's first operational base in Spain, located in Valencia. This decision will allow the company to increase its capacity and expand its destination offerings from Valencia Airport starting next winter season, consolidating the city as one of the main hubs in the Mediterranean arc.
In the national market, Valencia is also strengthening its position with new connections to Granada and Santiago de Compostela, which will enhance mobility for both residents and visitors and boost domestic tourism, the main source of travellers to the city.
The airport's dependency index stands at 12 out of 100, indicating a broad and balanced network, without relying on a single market or company. The president of the Visit València Foundation and councillor for Tourism, Innovation, and Investments, Paula Llobet, highlighted that these results are the result of a sustained strategy to improve connectivity based on market diversification and collaboration with Aena, Turespaña, and other administrations.
The summer season of 2026 represents a qualitative leap for the city's international connectivity. Valencia consolidates its position on the European and Atlantic air map with a strategy based on diversification,” Llobet stated.
For travellers, the expansion of routes means more options and potentially more competitive prices. Interested parties can check the full schedule on the airlines' websites or at Manises Airport.
