Cullera ends July with an average occupancy of 91% in hotels and 92% in tourist apartments, consolidating its summer appeal. The mayor, Jordi Mayor, highlights the sector's efforts.

The tourist occupancy figures in Cullera during July confirm the town's strong position as a summer destination. According to data provided by the City Council, hotels achieved an average occupancy of 91%, while tourist apartments reached 92%.

The other types of accommodation also recorded positive results: aparthotels stood at 79%, guesthouses at 77%, hostels at 65%, and campsites at 58%. These figures reflect the strength of the local tourist offer during the peak season.

The municipality, with nearly 15 kilometres of beach and a privileged natural environment, combines sun and beach with a wide gastronomic proposal, activities and experiences, as well as a cultural, musical, sports, and leisure programme that attracts visitors. The local tourism sector values these results as a direct boost to the economy, according to municipal sources.

The positive trend continues into August. Forecasts for the first half of the month indicate a hotel occupancy of 88%, while aparthotels expect to reach 92% and tourist apartments, 85%. Guesthouses, hostels, and campsites also anticipate notable figures, with 78%, 73%, and 68% respectively, and an increase is expected with last-minute bookings.

The mayor of Cullera, Jordi Mayor, has wanted to highlight the work of the tourism sector:

The tireless work and sacrifice of the tourism sector demonstrates, once again, that Cullera is a destination capable of attracting thousands of visitors with a unique combination of beaches, gastronomy, heritage, nature, and a programme of activities that invites enjoyment of the city throughout the summer.

Mayor has reiterated that these figures are “magnificent news” for the local economy, which shows great strength during one of the most important times of the year. Visitors who have not yet planned their holidays can find availability in some types of accommodation, especially in campsites and hostels, although early booking is recommended.
