The Llíria City Council has announced the completion of the comprehensive restoration of the floor at the Pla de l'Arc Pavilion, a project that had a budget exceeding €45,000. The work aimed to extend the lifespan of the playing surface and ensure optimal safety conditions for athletes.
The court will be operational again on Monday, August 24, according to the council. This way, local clubs can start the season normally without delays in their training and competitions.
The Councillor for Sports, Joanma Miguel, explained that this was a priority project, as the facility is used intensively throughout the year. It hosts activities for sports entities, schools, municipal programs, and various events organized in the locality.
The intervention was carried out in several technical phases to ensure a professional and durable finish. Workers removed the damaged surface layer, repaired areas affected by wear and impacts accumulated over time, and proceeded to officially mark the regulatory lines. Finally, a double layer of high-resistance varnish was applied.
This action is part of the municipal plan to improve sports courts and facilities promoted by the Department of Sports. The councillor emphasized that, with this improvement, the sports area reaffirms its commitment to maintaining public facilities.
It was a priority action, as it is a facility that receives intensive use throughout the year by sports entities, schools, municipal activities, and various events that are organized,” noted Joanma Miguel.
Residents and users of the pavilion will be able to enjoy the court again starting Monday, with a renewed surface aimed at providing safe and quality playing conditions for competition.
