The British international payments firm opens an office in Valencia, accompanied by Invest in Valencia. It is one of the 16 companies that have chosen the city in the first half.
The British company Moneycorp, specialised in international payments and foreign exchange risk management, has opened a new office in Valencia as part of its growth strategy in the Spanish market. The firm, with over 47 years of experience, has been advised by the municipal office Invest in Valencia throughout the implementation process.
The Councillor for Tourism, Innovation and Investments, Paula Llobet, highlighted that the arrival of Moneycorp is a demonstration of the confidence that Valencia inspires among global financial firms. "We do not compete solely on price: we offer a safe, innovative ecosystem with exceptional quality of life for establishing operational headquarters and business centres," she stated.
The new office will serve both companies and individuals with international activities, offering solutions for cross-border payments, multi-currency accounts, and tools for operating in foreign markets. The choice of Valencia, according to municipal sources, responds to the city's international dynamism and its capacity to attract foreign investment.
This establishment is part of a record semester for attracting investment in the city. Between January and June 2026, Invest in Valencia —driven by the City Council with the collaboration of Cámara Valencia— has facilitated the arrival of 16 new international companies, with an estimated investment exceeding 35 million euros.
"Each of these euros invested in Valencia translates into real opportunities, wealth in our neighbourhoods, and, above all, high-skilled jobs for our youth," Llobet pointed out. With this balance, Invest in Valencia has already surpassed 400 million euros in investment attracted since its inception, with 93 companies from 29 countries and more than 4,000 direct jobs created.
The support for Moneycorp has been structured in two phases: the Softlanding programme, which streamlines the bureaucratic and real estate procedures for arrival, and the Aftercare service, which supports the rooting and expansion of already established companies. The firm thus joins a local ecosystem that integrates technology, financial, and advanced service companies.
