The Municipal Library of L'Eliana will launch in September a reading club that brings together young people from 16 years old and adults. Registrations are now open.
The Municipal Library of L'Eliana will kick off a new intergenerational reading club in the last week of September. The initiative aims to gather young people aged 16 and over and adults around a common hobby: reading.
The project stems from the evolution of the current youth reading club, whose participants have grown and now have extensive experience as readers. The proposal aims to encourage the exchange of opinions and perspectives between generations, creating spaces for dialogue and coexistence.
The readings will be offered, whenever possible, in both Spanish and Valencian, with the aim of facilitating participation and contributing to the promotion of the local language. The dynamic will consist of reading one book per month and meeting monthly to share impressions and viewpoints.
Meetings will be held on the penultimate Thursday of each month. Registrations are now open via email at biblioteca@leliana.es and by phone at 962 74 23 71.
The Municipal Library maintains a stable programme of reading and cultural activities for all ages throughout the year. For children and young people, it organises storytelling, literary parties, theatre, game afternoons, and creative workshops in comic, collage, or outreach.
The offer is completed with book presentations, talks, and debates, as well as reading clubs for adults in Spanish (in the afternoon) and in Valencian (in the morning). A continuous programme that turns the library into a space for meeting, learning, and participation around culture.
