The Alaquàs City Council has opened the registration period for the pyrotechnic events of the 2026 major festivities, such as the Cordà de Sant Miquel and the Children's Cordà. Interested parties can sign up from August 18.
The Alaquàs City Council has opened the registration period to participate in the various pyrotechnic events that will take place during the 2026 major festivities. The call includes the Cordà de Sant Miquel, the Traditional Cordà of the Crist de la Bona Mort, and the Children's Cordà.
For the Cordà de Sant Miquel, registrations can be made from August 18 to September 2 at the City Council Registry, at the Citizen Attention Office (OAC), or through the electronic headquarters. The badges will be collected on the 4th at the Local Police, from 4 PM to 9 PM.
As for the Traditional Cordà of the Crist de la Bona Mort, the registration period will remain open until September 5. The collection of badges will be on the 8th, also at the Local Police and at the same hours. This period is intended for companions and passive participants who do not carry lit rockets and do not need CRE accreditation.
Organizers and active participants do not have to register during this period, but must have prior written authorization from the organizers, be insured, and have CRE accreditation. Additionally, they may only fire rockets purchased by the organizing entity, which are not CE marked.
For the Children's Cordà or Passejà, registration will be from August 18 to 27. Minors aged between 10 and 17 must complete the Children's CRE course, which will be held on August 31 at 6 PM at the Alaquàs Castle. The course has 30 places and it is mandatory to attend at least 85% of the classes and pass an evaluative test.
The course is aimed at minors authorized by the Alaquàs City Council and members of the Friends of the Cordà Association. On the exam day, a DNI must be presented, and a pen must be brought. Absence or failure to pass the test will be declared as not suitable.
Applications for the Children's Cordà are also submitted from August 18 to 27 at the OAC or via the electronic headquarters. The modality is cordà and passejà.
Since 2013, the use of any other type of rocket that is not purchased by the organizing group has been prohibited. In the Pujà, shooters use tongs and registration is done through the organizing group, which submits an application to the City Council.
The organizing associations are the Clavarios de Sant Miquel 2026, the Clavarios del Cristo 2026, and the Brotherhood of the Virgen del Olivar. Interested parties can carry out the procedures through the electronic headquarters of the Alaquàs City Council.
